Chrstina Raso Volleyball Interview

Going into the 2011 Girls Volleyball season, the girls were faced with the challenge of doing something that no other BHS volleyball has ever done. Go to States. Expectations were set high as Captain Christina Raso let us know in our exclusive interview with her. Our own Adriana Berardi sat down with Raso and asked her a few questions about the season and her plans for the future.

How was your last volleyball season as a senior?
Volleyball season was really good, we finished with an overall record with 12-10 which is the best record in the programs history. We made it to the state tournament for the first time and made Burlington High School history.

As the current Captain, What advice would you give to next years captains?
I would advise them to enjoy every practice and every game because the season goes by quickly. Set higher expectations for the team and work hard to reach their goals.

What was your experience being in the tournament for the first time?
It was exciting but it was also nerve wracking due to the pressure to win it because it was a single elimination tournament and it was the first time we'd ever been to it.

Do you consider volleyball being in your college career?
I applied to tufts, waiting on that to see if I'm accepted, if I am accepted I am definitely playing softball and considering playing volleyball starting my sophomore year.
