Boy's Hockey Team Headed to the Garden!

D1 North State Champions
After a season of some ups and downs, including a missed bid into the Super 8, the boy's hockey team has capitalized on their #1 seed in the Division 1 tournament and they are headed to the TD Garden on Sunday night! The Co-Middlesex League champs defeated their league nemesis Wakefield Monday night to capture the Division 1 North title and become one win closer to the D1 State Title. In the month of February, they captured the Middlesex League Championship (Co-Champs with Wakefield) and a victory over Chelmsford High School to capture the Cahoon Tournament Championship. After they won the Cahoon Tournament, they were informed that they would play Central Catholic in a play-in game for the Super 8. After a tough game with some great plays, including a stellar hit by Cody Crocker, Burlington ended up with the loss and would not be returning to the Super 8.

After the toughest loss of the season to Central, Showcasing one of the 'Best Fan Sections East of the Mississippi' according to some students, Burlington was named the #1 seed in the D1 tournament. Burlington defeated Burlington-Native Ryan Quinn and the Austin Prep Cougars in the first round of the D1 Tournament 4-3. The next game was against Acton-Boxborough to advance to the D1 North Finals. Burlington defeated Acton-Boxborough 5-1, advancing to the D1 North Finals in a battle not only on the ice, but in the stands as well, matching two of the best fan sections in the state up head to head against Wakefield. After a tough game, Burlington prevailed over Wakefield High with goals from Joe Scali, Brett Romkey, Trevor Cimino, and CJ Grinnell. The boys will be playing at the TD Garden in Boston Sunday night at 8:15 against Milton. Hopefully Burlington can bring out their insane fan section on more time for the final, and most important game of the season. Visit the Principals Blog @ PatrickMLarkin.com for more ticket info. Good Luck Hockey Team, and GO DEVILS!
